Allowed Mods
Which client mods you can use on our Pixelmon and Cobblemon servers, which to ask about first, and which are always banned.
Updated 29 September 2026. Our official modpacks come with everything you need, so you don't have to add anything. If you want to add a mod of your own, check this page first. It covers both servers.
Allowed without asking
These don't give you an advantage over other players, so you can add them any time.
A mod you add has to be made for Minecraft 1.21.1 and for your pack's loader: NeoForge for Pixelmon Plus+, Fabric for Cobblemon Plus+. Both packs already include Sodium, Lithium, FerriteCore and ImmediatelyFast for speed, Iris for shaders, JourneyMap, and JEI and EMI for recipes. Don't add a second copy of a mod your pack already has, or another mod that does the same job (such as Embeddium alongside Sodium, or Oculus alongside Iris): the game usually won't start.

Other mods that only make the game run faster are fine too.
Shaders
Iris comes with both packs, along with the BSL and Complementary Reimagined shader packs. Other shader packs are fine too.
Minimaps
Allowed with entity radar and cave view turned off. JourneyMap comes with both packs, and Xaero's Minimap is fine too. One exception: the Pokémon icons add-on that comes with Cobblemon Plus+ shows nearby Pokémon on JourneyMap, and it's allowed.

Recipe viewers
JEI and EMI come with both packs. REI is fine too.

Cheats, and anything else that gives you an unfair advantage. Using them is a Severe offense under our server rules.
